Question Time
1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your character's favourite colour, or what the relationship with their mother was like, their lap dancer name, whatever.

2. I respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know your character better.

3. You update your characters IJ with the answers to the questions, and comment to this post with a link to your answers.

4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else's character, or even players, in the post.

5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions about either themselves or their characters.

1. What does the doll look like/ has Mary given her doll a name?
Lady Jane. She's got a beautiful porcelain head though her body is stuffed cotton or linen. She actually has two dresses- one is the original and it's obvious that the doll was not cheap ... although how much her father paid for it is never a question Mary bothered asking. Lady Jane is one of the few posessions Mary has that she cares anything about.
2. Does Mary have any beliefs? If so, what are they?
... She believes her brother is wonderful, Mr Slater is absolutely amazing, and god's somewhere in there too maybe. She doesn't spare much thought to politics - she leaves that to Evonne and other friends, but when she puts her own thoughts into it she always comes up to a vague opinion that the Revolution isn't exactly a flawless plan, though she wouldn't say that- everyone's so sweetly idealistic about it.
3. What does Mary find most attractive in the opposite sex?
Apparently a criminal mastermind and possible psychotic episodes. ... Really, Mary's whole worldview here gets a bit twisted. She tends to go for older men. The criminal masterminding and psychosis are mostly optional.
4. What is Mary's greatest fear?
You mean aside from the one where Slater and Harry end up in a huge bloody feud ending with a duel to the death (although she hasn't realized that one yet)? ... There's also the irrational fear that Jon will somehow show up and proceed to appear in her room at night. Most of Mary's greatest fears already have happened, so she's always thinking thing can't get too much worse. Now with Harry being alive things are looking up- so her greatest fear at the moment, aside from Jon's reappearance is that Harry will disappear again.
5. What does she want most in the world?
She loves plays and fairytales-- she just wants pretty dresses and a happy ending. Of course, barring that she'll settle for the pretty dress and marzipan. She's also hoping that her brother doesn't put up too much of a fuss when she tells him she wasn't joking about the acting suggestion. Really, she'd be quite happy to settle into a life of teasing Harry and making sure the house is properly kept up... so long as she got to be an actress as well, and that would pretty much settle up everything Mary wants in life (since marzipan is clearly part of a properly kept house).

She might eventually want to marry but her um, different take on sex and love  and normal family relations and such might make that a bit difficult (come on, the girl thinks incest is normal, and that sex with non family-members is more the end of a relationship than part of it- she'd probably take the wedding night as a signal that this was over and it would be time to take a lover).  ... And that's not going into the idea of kissing girls which she hasn't thought much about so far.  ... Okay, so unless she marries Montford-Miles it would be a rocky marriage.
