1. What is Mary's least favourite colour?
 Brown. Jon Darby wore brown a lot.

2. What is her dream role and in what play?
 ... She'd be kick-ass in the role of Ophelia or Desdemona (although that death scene would probably leave her an emotional wreck). But as for her ultimate dream part it would probably be... Well, Bel-Imperia from The Spanish Tragedy or Dido of Carthage. Although she'd be thrilled to play something fun like She Stoops to Conquor or School for Scandal (and with the Surface family's brothels being mentioned, she'd find it additionally funny) . Barring all that, something pretty and romantic with lovely costumes. ... Gwenivere or Elaine would be parts she would love.
3. What is the worst dream (nightmare!) that Mary's ever had?
That's probably not something to actually write down- considering what she's seen Slater do to people and what she's had done to her by Jon Darby, Mary's nightmares are enough to send grown people into screaming terrors. A general feature of those nightmares is an undead Jon Darby wandering around, and/or Mary's mother turning up. She's not fond of the one where she wakes up ugly, either. The other least favorite one is where she's inexplicably naked in public and everyone can see the scar on her lower back/hip.
4. What is her favourite time of day (morning, afternoon, night, etc.) and why?
Mary likes any time of day but afternoon is nice since that was traditionally the time she got some peace and quiet either while the children were with tutors or napping. Night is definitely not her favorite time- she's only just beginning to get comfortable in the dark again, since dark usually brought bad things in her childhood.
5. What would her dream husband be like?
Older than her, and probably either a slightly more affectionate Harry type or a slightly less homocidal Slater type. But really any guy who was kind to her, generally sane-ish, and has good communication and/or coping skills would work for her. ...  oh, and he'd have to have Harry's approval. And Slater's. ... yeah.

Well, she's only just discovering this problem. But yes, she finds it hard. For her it's something like being the kid in a murderously bitter divorce- they're the two people who mean the most to her in the world, and they're going to war. She can't understand why Harry hates Slater so much (yet... although she might get a clearer picture if he ever explains it to her but then again her morals get fuzzy there).
2. What is her take on what's happening in France right now?
She doesn't think about it much. Her only take is that she worries for Evonne and Melie, and isn't exactly thrilled with this whol let's-kill-lots-of-people idea. It's not the killing them, it's that no one seems too clear about what they did wrong other than exist. Also, Mary doesn't have a whole lot of faith in men or merchants or such. Sure aristocrats are sort of awful sometimes, but the Elliots are aristos too and she loved them a great deal.
3. What musical instrument would she like to learn or have learned to play?
She would like to learn the pianoforte or harpsichord. She's got a decent singing voice (not spectacular but it works for getting kids to sleep or singing theater-type songs without hurting anyone's ears), so something she could play and sing along to would amuse her.
4. If she could say one thing to her father, what would it be?
"I love you daddy." Or "Why the hell did you have to get in that stupid fight you great idiot. Do you know what trouble you caused? The only half-decent parental figure I've had is Slater, thanks to you. I could be a perfectly happy, sane, well-balanced girl working in Ann's tavern or some other such thing but noooo, you had to go and die and leave me with Jon Darby. I hope you get to think about that for the rest of eternity."
5. Does she have a crush, other than Slater? *G*
*snark* You forgot about Harry... Okay okay, she liked Eward Montford-Miles for about a month but she was 13 and lonely but she forgot about him when she met this one stable boy. Who she forgot about in favor of someone else. She hasn't got a crush on anyone (the two totally inappropriate candidates aside) at the moment.
